An Elegant Wedding at Brick and Beam

Weddings are often the most beautiful events to be able to photograph. Two people decide to dedicate the rest of their lives together and share this moment with their friends and family. The wedding and reception of Elaine and Franklin were held in one of the most beautiful and iconic venues in Jacksonville. Their wedding was incredibly fun to shoot as they spent their day enjoying friends and family in preparation to tie the knot.

Beautifully planned and orchestrated by Allyson with Maebell Event Coordinating, the wedding flowed smoothly throughout the events of the day. Allyson worked diligently to ensure everyone was where they needed to be at the right time. Elaine and Franklin's wedding colors fit beautifully within the historic venue where the event was held. Jade greens, whites, and delicate flowers were thoughtfully decorated throughout the venue.

In many weddings, the venue is the most important choice a couple will make when planning their wedding. This is the place where a couple will share one of the biggest milestones of their life in front of their friends and family. Franklin and Elaine scored big when they selected the rustic Brick and Beam in the historic district of Springfield in Jacksonville, Florida.

The venue featured tall ceilings atop exposed brick walls and old patchwork. The ambiance was created with period piece light fixtures that add an elegant old-timey vibe. Brick and Beam allows wedding parties to enjoy access to the entire 2300 square foot building for the whole day.

On the wedding day, the bride and groom and their respective parties got ready for the big event, all while having a little fun. The bridal party got to enjoy a little putt-putt on the small in-house green to let off some steam and have a little fun while the groom and his party enjoyed a few beverages before beginning the day's festivities. On the balcony at Brick and Beam, the city of Jacksonville across the skyline made the perfect backdrop for some prewedding family and wedding party photos and of course, the magical first look.

Elaine and Franklin exchanged vows on the expansive back porch lined with beautiful natural wood and landscaping to add pops of color and privacy. The location made you feel as if you were outside of the city. The ceremony was held in front of the beautiful natural wood A-frame in front their guests.

The reception that followed was hosted at Brick and Beam, where the family enjoyed cocktail hour on the patio and where cornhole and an ambient and warm firepit kept guests warm and cozy. Soon after the reception began, people enjoyed their meals at long, beautifully decorated banquet-style tables. The party officially began after toasts were made to the newlyweds, and their wedding cake was officially cut. Dancing and fun were had throughout the night as everyone celebrated Elaine and Franklin.
